Grading & Record Information

Matrix Numbers

As a general rule, we don't include matrix numbers on any of our listings. If you do want to know the matrix numbers for a specific record please get in touch and we'll be happy to find them for you.

 

Which Grading System Do You Use?

Like most sellers, we use the official 'Record Collectors' grading system. You can find the definitions in a tab at the bottom of each and every listing we have on the website. 

 

Where can I find the grading for a certain record?

The gradings for both the sleeve & record itself can be found on the right-hand side of the product page, under the price and alongside other information such as the track-list and country of press. These can also be found underneath the 'Add to Basket' button when browsing our items, in the form 'SLEEVE/RECORD'.

For example, an item with a 'Very Good' sleeve and 'Excellent' record grading would be: VG/Ex

Sometimes the record is of different quality on the 'A' and 'B' side. In this case it will be clearly marked. For example, an A side which is Ex and B side which is VG will appear as A: Ex B:VG

 

 

 

Delivery & Returns

How much does delivery cost?

Nothing! If you're in the UK you won't pay a penny for postage unless you want to upgrade your postage to a more secure method.

We'd love to offer free international postage, but the cost means it just isn't possible. The best we can do is discount the necessary charge as far as possible, which is why international prices start from as low as £2.75 within Europe and just £3.75 for the rest of the world.

 

How long is it going to take to get my item?

There are no excuses for delays, which is why your record will be in the post on the very same day if ordered before 1pm and the next day if you miss the cut-off. Our free first class delivery means that for UK buyers, your record should be with you the very next day if ordered before the cut-off Monday-Friday. 

At peak times such as Christmas, and in rare circumstances, it can take 2-3 days so don't be alarmed if your record isn't with you right away - we promise it's on its way! 

For both Europe and the rest of the world, the estimated delivery time is 3-5 business days but don't be alarmed if 5 business days have passed. Sadly, small delays on international orders happen due to the extensive distance your order has to travel and customs clearance. 

 

I want to return my record

One of the fundamental goals of Atlas Records is to ensure that none of our customers are ever stuck with a record they don't want. We've all been there - the record isn't quite as described, the sleeve has got a small imperfection you didn't notice or you simply changed your mind. The problem? Returning it costs more than the record itself and frankly is more hassle than it's worth. 

Not with us. 

If you're a UK customer all you need to do is send an email to returns@atlasrecords.co.uk and we'll email you a free returns label. Just stick it to the front of the mailer and pop it into the closest post office and you'll have your money back within 24 hours of receipt. Easy

Unfortunately, we can't offer free returns on any items that are sent abroad but we operate a 30-day "no-quibble" returns policy in which you will be refunded the amount of the record itself (excluding postage charges) if you do choose to return the record to us. Email us on returns@atlasrecords.co.uk to let us know it's on its way.

 

Help! I haven't received my item

Of all of our queries this is the most popular, which is why we've dedicated a page to it: Where Is My Order?

Unlike many other record retailers, if a record goes missing we take full responsibility and promise to put it right. We'll do that through sending a replacement if we have one or a refund if we don't. 

 

Something is missing from my order...

Our pickers and packers are exceptionally careful, but we're human and we know mistakes can happen. If you've got an item that you didn't order, or you think you're missing something you ordered just contact us.

Payment

Can I pay with my card?

Absolutely!

We use the payment gateway 'Worldpay' so you will be directed to their website to securely checkout, before being returned to our website. We currently accept: Visa Debit, Visa Debit Electron, MasterCard, JCB, and American Express. 

 

Can I pay with PayPal?

You can pay with PayPal however you will require a PayPal account to do so.
